From the Worktable: Studio Windowsill
The studio windowsill has become its own small growing space lately. Pelargoniums shifting toward the light, foxgloves waiting in terracotta pots, and an amaryllis that still feels slightly improbable each morning.
There is something comforting about growing things indoors while the season outside rearranges itself. Trays moved from one sill to another, leaves turning slowly toward the glass, candles lit against grey weather and rain on old windows.
The pelargoniums have started to settle now. Soft bronze-green leaves spreading wider each week, flower buds appearing quietly amongst seed trays and bundles of twine.
Even the foxgloves seem softer indoors. Less wild woodland edge, more still-room plant gathered beside the window.
Small things continuing gently across the sill while the rest of the season catches up.
