Xanthos produces unusual, soft lemon-yellow flowers that gently fade towards white at the edges, with warm golden centres and fine, feathery foliage. A more compact cosmos than many varieties, it flowers from summer into autumn and is a lovely cut flower for bringing soft, unusual colour to bouquets and seasonal arrangements.
Sow indoors from March to May onto moist compost and lightly cover. Keep at 18 to 22°C until germination. Harden off before planting outside after the last frost.
