Firmament produces masses of delicate sky blue flowers on finely branching stems. Flowering continuously throughout the season, it is an invaluable cut flower for adding lightness, movement and a true blue tone to floral arrangements.
Sow indoors from August to October for flowering the following year, or from February to April for flowering in the same year. Sow onto moist compost and lightly cover the seed, they need light germinate. Keep at approximately 18–22°C until germination, which usually takes 5–10 days. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, pot on and grow on in cooler conditions. Harden off before planting outside in spring.
