Dill Tetra

£3.00

Dill ‘Tetra’ is a bushy, slow-to-bolt variety with abundant, finely divided aromatic foliage and delicate yellow flower umbels. Excellent for the kitchen, with its fresh, distinctive flavour, but equally useful in the cutting garden where the airy flower heads bring a lovely lightness to arrangements. A particularly good choice for growing both as a culinary herb and as a cut flower.

Growing Notes

Sow directly outdoors from April to July once the soil has warmed. Choose a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Sow into shallow drills approximately 1cm deep and lightly cover with soil. Thin seedlings to around 20cm apart once large enough to handle. Dill dislikes root disturbance, so direct sowing is preferable. For a succession of fresh foliage, sow small batches every few weeks through spring and early summer. Allow some plants to flower if you want to use the airy flower heads for cutting or collect seed.

Position: Full sun

Height: Approx. 90cm

Type: Hardy Annual

Common Name: Dill

Contents: Approximately 100 seeds
